The classical period saw the growth and perfection of the sonata and symphony. The instruments of the orchestra as fully developed during this period and the piano took place, of the harp clavichord great emphasis was laid to from the structure of music. C.P.E.Bach ( 1658-1750 )
A German composer. Full name Carl Philip Emanuel Bach. Son of J.S.Bach. He was a notable composer of the classical period. He was the chief founder of sonata and symphony style, which was later developed and perfected in the hands. He wrote a book called 'Essay on the true art of playing keyboard instruments'.
J.Haydn ( 1732-1809 )
Joseph Haydn was an Austrian composer. He followed the style of composition based on that C.P.E.Bach, that is the new style of sonata and symphony. He was written over hundred symphonies, and is therefore called the 'Father of the Symphony'. Haydn most famous in the classical period.
W.A.Mozart ( 1756-1791 )
Full name is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. A German composer, died in Austria. He was a child prodigy performer and composer at the age of six. He was a clever harpsichordist. He toured Europe with father and sister as a child performing in many courts and capitals his early works show the influence by him. During his short life he wrote over six hundred pieces of music.
L.V.Beethoven ( 1770-1827 )
Full name is Ludvig Van Beethoven been a German composer. He's know as the Shakespeare of music. He came of a musical family. At the age of thirteen he was a Harpsichordist, in the court. In Vienna he was supported by Aristrocratic, music lovers who recognized he is a genius. As a pianist and a composer he became deaf at the age of thirty. But this did not inter fear with his out put as a composer. His early works show the influence of Mozart. He later became a freelance breaking away the ridigity of form. He could be sad to be romantic and could be said to link the classical with the romantic periods. As an a artist his stand is supreme in several departments.
